Danny the Dolphin

Danny is a fast swimming hectors dolphin.  He loves to swim around New Zealand

He is grey with black and white markings.  He has a round black dorsal fin.

Danny is a fast swimmer he is very graceful in the waves.  He lives in the NZ ocean and eats fish.  He jumps high out of the water.

He likes jumping out of the water he hates pollution.  Pollution can make them sick and some things like nets can get stuck on him.  His friends the turtles sometimes eat plastic bags as they think they are jellyfish and this makes them sick.

We all have to look after the ocean by not polluting the ocean.

  1. Hi Beau,
Thanks for sharing your information about Danny the Dolphin. Have you seen a dolphin before? I like how you have described him in different ways; what he looks like, where he live, what he eats and his likes and dislikes. Why do you think he hates pollution?

  2. kia ora Beau, you have included a lot of information about Danny the dolphin, I think you've done a good job using topic specific language like 'dorsal fin'. Why do you think it is important to not pollute the water?
