A Tortoise is a land animal. They hibernate in winter to save energy, they don,t eat drink or go to the toilet at this time.
They have a hard outer shell .Some can get as heavy as 100kg and can live up to 200 years old.
they are a reptile that lay eggs. You can keep them as pets

ReplyDeleteHi Beau, what a great blog post. I love all the information you have included about the Tortoise. I was lucky enough to get to pat one when I was at Australia zoo. Their shell was really hard but there legs were quite soft which surprised me. They looked really funny when they eat too.
